You Are Getting Very Sleepy

The Astros must have thought it was funny to go see a comedic hypnotist before Game 5 of the NLCS. Except when the hypnotist volunteered Brad Lidge to be hypnotized.

"When I snap my fingers, you will be...Armando Benitez!"
Except that the hypnotist never provided the key word to make him Brad Lidge again.

All right all right, I'm kidding.

He actually thinks he's Braden Looper.

Can you tell I was the opening act for the hypnotist? I have to find better gigs.

Seriously, a quick word on Brad Lidge...he's fine. Give the Podsednik adventure some credit for looking fastball, and hitting it. You want to get on Brad Lidge for giving Albert Pujols a pitch to hit in Game five, that's fine. But how many times have you sat in Shea Stadium with a fastball pitcher on the mound and a slap hitter at the plate and thought (aloud or otherwise) "throw him a fastball...this guy ain't Babe Ruth!"

If you can't challenge Scott Podsednik with one out and nobody on and a 2-1 count, then who can you challenge? The last thing you want to do is walk him...and he didn't miss those first two pitches by a whole lot. So let's not lay it all on Brad Lidge.

But just to be safe, I would steer clear of anybody claiming to be a hypnotist.

It's almost game time big boy....

Are you ready for some Football?

Let's get it on!

I am equipped with my Curtis Conway jersey (because the Ray Lucas jersey has stopped working) so I'm ready to go.

Don't lose!

I see already D'Angelo Hall is lloking to stir the pot. Don't wake up the sleeping giant! (Maybe "Giant" is the wrong term here.)

Met$tra, so sorry big guy.

Y'all basically handed us the game....

Y'all might have a QB in Brooks Ballicker....

Bollinger should have been the QB all the way around. It doesn't serve anyone the right way to have Vinny in there. Kind of like having Todd Zeile play when a prospect could have cut his teeth at first base. And I like Zeile as I like Vinny. But let Brooks get some valuable experience for his future, whether it be here or somewhere else.

Vick's a talented individual, but Warrick Dunn is the most underrated player in the league.

And you're right...turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. It almost sucks that the Jets basically held you guys even in the second half. If they had held on to the ball in the first, it's a game that at least goes down to the wire. Brutal.

Yea. Kendell is taking it rough on himself....

It's real simple," Kendall said. "I made three mistakes tonight, three critical mistakes. They turned them into points. That's the difference in the game.""I made three mistakes, three critical mistakes, and they turned them into touchdowns,"

"Basically, I gave them 17 points tonight. It's embarrassing. I feel horrible." Kendall said. "These players and these coaches work too hard for me to go out there and make it look like some Little League team."

He was terrible. To be fair, this is the wrong team and defensive line to be changing positions....

Our next National T.V. game is Thanksgiving.....

I'm sure you and Mrs. Met$tradamus will be watching....

Have you seen Minky's quote over on metsblog? He turned on us! I loved that guy because of all of his quotes and I thought he had a decent glove that made the left side of the field look pretty good. Can he really blame the mets for not playing him when what they needed was some offense?

Well I'll tell you what - Minkasshole - you're dead to me! Put him on the hate list!

This is very dissapointing...

Doug Mientkiewicz’s contract with the Mets holds a $4 million option for next season, with a $450,000 buyout…

“I don't why they would pick up my option, but if they do, I might quit,” Mientkiewicz recently told the Star Tribune. “I'm serious. I don't want to be back there…I always thought Minnesota was a great place to play. After a year with the Mets, an organization that doesn't have a clue, I know that for sure.”

What the hell is his problem? Now he'll never be a starting firstbasemen.....

What a fucking asshole...

What is it about the jet QBs this year? They all have Kerry Collins disease. Unfortunately they do not have Kerry Collins' arm. Is it written somewhere that QBs on the jets must fumble every time they are hit? Good job by herman with that timeout call. He is a sideline dunce. Is there any point having Vinny here? He still throws those Pennington 6 yarders on third and ten. Bollinger is more than capable of doing that. He also stands a better chance of staying alive until the Jets get their protection schemes ironed out. Being a jet fan is much worse than being a met fan. There is so much day to day redemption in baseball.

P.S. Curtis looks shot
