We Interrupt This Blog To Bring You ...

... the New York Rangers; eliminated from the playoffs in Game 5 today by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

I actually had a dream last night that I was so busy at work that I didn't get a chance to watch Game 5 ... and then I got a phone call asking me if I saw the score, and I found a television, and there were about 10 seconds left in the game ... and the score was 4-0 Penguins.

The actual Game 5 was infinitely more painful.

My buddy had mentioned to me days ago that he was going to print his "Rangers post mortem" in this space after the inevitable elimination. So rather than have him put it in a post that didn't match ... subjecting himself to scorn and ridicule ... I give him this space (see, I care).

And hence, I give the space to you all as well: Anyone who would like to wax poetic on Sean Avery's spleen, Sidney Crosby's inward pikes, Jaromir Jagr's contract, Marian Hossa's overtime goal and his impending free agent status (and Brian Campbell's as well ... hint, hint) or anything else you want to get off your chest about the Rangers' exit, you may do so here.

I- living in the philly area- was forced to catch what I could of today's game (My daughter really wanted to play outside today) on TBS.

Now - is it my imagination, but do the announcers still think they are calling Braves games? Seemed like they were pulling for Arizona the whole game. Can anybody else back me up on this?

Metstra - again I am lost with this post. There is a sport that is played on...ice?

I just remember that I am a Rangers fan, and hence not a Devils fan, and I start feeling better already.

It was a painful loss, but way less depressing than 2005/6 when they fizzled. They fought hard, and with a little luck in game 1, they would've taken this series. They'll build on this for next year - 2009 Stanley Cup Champions. You read it here first.

Really going out on a limb there. Make a wild prediction and hope it sticks. Do they still televise hockey?

Liberal rangers fans are crying in their creme brulet! Bwahaha. Get a job you welfare cheats! A patriotic town like pittsburgh is the background of this great nation's industry. Hard working people from pittsburgh deserve this win more than cadillac driving liberals on the dole!

hahaha. I love it!

Hate List for Monday

1- Marian Hossa
2- John Druce
3- Ken Morrow
4- JP Parise
5- Maurice Richard

(they share a common walk-off bond). Bastards.

Somebody on one of the hockey telecasts mentioned John Druce. And even though Druce went nuts in 1990, I still wanted to throw a brick through the screen, 18 years later.
