Schoolhouse Rock And Roll

Three is a magic number,
Yes it is, it's a magic number.
Somewhere in Joe Robbie's vicinity
You get three as a magic number.

The past and the present and the future.
Maine and Wright and Valentin,
The arms and the sticks and the "D"
Give you three as a magic number.

It takes strikes to make and out
Or three outs to grab some bench
It takes Jose's wheels to make a ve-hicle
Called a triple.

Every triangle has three corners,
Every diamond has three bases (and one plate),
No more, no less.
You don't have to guess.
When it's three you can see
It's a magic number.

The Mets they won in '69 and '86
Yes, they did.
They want three in the family,

And that's a magic number.

Chill your champagne boys and girls. We're getting mighty close.

And let's not forget to pop the corks on the elimination of the Braves!

Dude, gotta get Rheingold up on that survey. Not having it there is like mlb.com omitting Bobby V from the "best manager" question!

But then I'll have the Schaefer people all over my ass.

But it's funny you mention Rheingold...I was directed to this great photo tonight:

Can't believe you failed to mention one important fact after last night's sweet win in the Fish Tank. "The King is Dead, Long Live The King". After 14 long years, the Braves were officially eliminated from winning the division. The orange and blue coup was quick and decisive. God Save The King.

I love School House Rock.

I love Blind Melon doing a School House Rock Song.

And I especially love celebrating three as the magic number. Good stuff Metsra!

Someone should tell Shawn Green to stop celebrating four being the magic number!

Last night's home plate umpire was the worst I've seen since Leslie Nielson in the Naked Gun. I had no idea what the strike zone was.

You can have your Schaefer and Rheingold. Get me some Pabst Blue Ribbon baby! Or some Piels!

Here's my take on the #3

Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to one. Five is right out.
