Metstra - I'm in a place of odd, zin-like confidence. We have gone from comedy to tragic farce. Yet hope still remains. These pitchers are simply not this bad. They are not 13-, 10-, and 9-runs bad. It's just not possible for this to continue. It ends tonight with Pedro, and we win this thing.

Metsradamus,

I can't see the image you posted. I couldn't see it the other night, either.

Metstra--

As usual, you have left me speechless with your creativity.

Unfortunately, this post's message
reflects my own despair over the way history will view this season. My own (slightly more subtle) post after last night's game also takes on that ever-more taunting "Your Season Has Come" campaign:

I am at the point that we do not deserve to get in to the playoffs. And even if we do get in, what makes you think we have hope. This collapse is bad and I blame Management. You took something that really wasn't broke (the bullpen) and imploded it. Maybe next season, Omar can take a different approach and spend a little more money than he did this season. And what makes it worse is the team across the Triboro has clinched a berth....
I feel sick to my stomach...one week until hockey....

MD - great video of the top of the 5th last night. How did you get SNY's permission to post that?

Pain . . . great pain. I'm ashamed of myself for caring this much.

Poor Mutt$ fans. Maybe you'll win the division again in twenty years! Hahaha. You are so bitter that you could never appreciate a true chompionship team like the Yankees. In the Bronx, we don't strive for 'meaningful games in September'. We strive to be #1. It's a mentality you 'other ny fan's cannot comprehend. hehehe.

Yankees fans . . . classier than ever.

This can't be all the footage of the 2007 Mets season, it did not show the explosion sparked by Gasoline Can Mota which commenced the collapse.

I'm a good person. At least I think I am. But I hate the Nationals so much, if I said on the internet all the terrible things I would like to do to them I would probably get a visit from the FBI. And I used to like Manny Acta. Now they are going to let themselves be swept by Philly. I just know it. I think Manny has inside, magic information about the Mets' weaknesses which he uses against us.

Hey Fred. Hey Omar. Hey Willie. You hear that laughter? It's the rest of America laughing their asses off at you and your inept collection of buffoons you call a pitching staff. It's like a virus has been released on this staff. Every single member of the staff is responsible for this collapse. The offense is scoring 5,6, 10 runs a game and it's STILL not enough. The Mets could have a 20 run lead and if the ball is turned over to that pen I would sweat bullets until the last out was made. We're not making it boys and girls. Football, hockey, drives in the country watching the leaves turn will occupy all our time after Sunday when Dontrelle will be lights out and bury us. The miscalculations Minaya made to that bullpen last winter are staggering. Schoenweiss, Burgos, Mota, Sosa. Bye, bye Bradford, Bannister, Bell, Ring.
The laughter is growing louder every night.

This has all happened before and it will all happen again.

The Expos strike again.

My wife said I shouldn't watch anymore, that its bothering me too much.

Maybe she's right.

(But Pedro is pitching...)

Sigh.

Don't worry about it, Mutt$ fans! So what if you are the biggest chokers in MLB history! You will always have an apple in a tophat and a banner that says '1999 wild card winners'! BWAHAHAH! So funny it's sad!
