What I Meant To Say ...

I guess Snoop Manuel almost had it right when he said Santana would go 170 pitches. He just transposed a couple of numbers. Johan only needed 107 to vaporize the Nationals and gain a split of the series.

Enjoy the Braves series all, as Metstradamus is out of town (yes, I allow myself one third person reference per season ... and you just read it.) Be back with something halfway meaningful on Sunday.

Oh crap. What are we going to do until then? Don't leave us!

What?!? Who will guide us through these treacherous waters? Three games in Atlanta? No MD?!?

Find my happy place . . . find my happy place . . .

It occurred to me last night that we (meaning Mets fans in general) probably take Beltran for granted. The guy can hit, field, throw, run. Plays intelligently. Does the little things. Doesn't throw it in anyone's face. Unser digs Beltran (third person right back at ya).

And WHO will update Pedro's K total? Beltran's God of the Grand Slam? I doubt it. Of course, Pedro may not up Pedro's K total, so you may not be missed.
