Vote Lo Duca

Lastings Milledge has chosen his running mate:

Lastings and Paulie, together in Washington as they run under the "ex-Met" party. First campaign promise: 19-0 against the Mets.

Well i think this was a foregone conclusion once we bascially said "Hit the Road Paulie!"
(BTW, I think metfanmac above should be L'Millz running mate)

Typical psychological torture: For two days I enjoyed the happy feeling that Paul would be playing 10 minutes from my house. You know the song? "All at once am I several stories high, knowing I'm on the street where you live...." (for the post-My Fair Lady generation- that is not LITTERALLY high, just metaphorically).

Anyway for once I got my news somewhere other than Metstradamus: I awoke to Radio Canada, saying Paul Lo Duca "ne joindra pas les Bleu Jays".

So now the player I love, plays for the Nationals, a team I used to like, but since last September I hate them. I feel like my brain is going to split in two.

Ok....so we basically traded Lastings Milledge and Paul Lo Duca for Ryan Church and Brian Schneider...

Good job, Omar...atta boy...keep plugging away and eventually you may get something we need...

Can someone wake up Frank Cashen to come back and fix this mess...?

The Mets should have signed Lo Duca for what the Nationals signed him for, but unfortunately he wanted 3 - 4 years. I don't want Posada for 4 years, which would make him 40, and I sure as hell don't want Lo Duca when he's 40. Who could ever want Lo Duca or any catcher when he's 40.

I agree with "anonymous" that someone needs to fix this mess they call the NY Mets....matbe not Frank Cashen, though.

Last time I checked....he was and is still the last GM in Mets history to build a World Championship team....

Why is this happening? Worlds are colliding, and now I have a headache.

...but that picture is pretty funny. They'll probably have fun together in D.C.

And Omar let them have Jesus Flores too. WooHoo!

I can't vote for that ticket.

I've been a Met fan for four decades. But I have to say, the whining this off season is starting to get old. Milledge and LoDuca were good players, but it's time to move on. Either stick with your team or get off the bandwagon. But please, enough with the waah waah waah stuff.

Billy Beane, Shawn Abner, Stanley Jefferson, Alex Ochoa, Alex Escobar, Jay Payton, all future 'can't misses' that missed. Move on already. Get outside and get some sunlight.

Wow, you've already got some mud-slinging from the opposition.

Milledge and Elijak Dukes can be a rap duo and Paulie can help them by introducing them to R Kelly at some junior prom.

In defense of going "waah waah waah":

I just got home from work where I was forced to be a responsible adult for 12 hours. Can I just have a few hissy fits on this blog please? What is this, America, love her or leave her?? Choo choo, getting some sunshine was not an option today.

And just what exactly has been happening with the Mets recently to be cheerful about? Give me Johan Santana and then I'll jump for joy. (but don't give away Jose!)

I enjoy hearing other fans' laments. And Metstradamus's whiny fan tantrums are spectacular.

Choo Choo, I guarantee you that's the first time anyone has brought up Alex Ochoa to Mets fans as a method of getting them to cheer up. Interesting.

Well I don't know if that's worked for anyone else, but all of a sudden I have the urge to go see a revival of "Up With People", then run to the beach, strip down to my Aquaman underoos, and bob for jellyfish, that's how good I feel.

Hey, Alex Ochoa and Shawn Abner stunk!!! IT'S PARTY TIME!!!
