Mientkiewicz will not be returning to Shea in 2006 (that is until he's traded to the Braves to provide defensive stability after the Royals realize that signing marginal veterans are completely useless...and Mientkiewicz gets big hits against the Mets to knock them out of the playoff chase.)

ESPN reports the Marlins have added Norfolk to their list of potential relocation spots. It's a bad idea that won't happen, but the silver lining would be squashing together the NL East pretty good, with the Braves being the geographical outlier. New York, Philadelphia, DC, Norfolk, wow! Plus, more fans at Away games = more $$$ for MLB.
