Anonymous said...: If they had offered Vic a contract, I would have jumped out the window. Although Jay Horwitz was quoted as saying that the Mets want to continue negotiations with him!?! Please get rid of this albatross.

He might have to compose a welcome song. The Braves didn't tender offers to him or Chris Reitsma. Hey maybe we get another bullpen arm in Reitsma. It would be nice to take two guys from the Braves. I'm not a big Giles fan but it would be foolish to say he isn't a better player than Stache with a huge upside at 28 years old...

I think it is imperative to have at least one guy named Victor on the Mets so I'm not sure what Omar will do next...; 12:30 PM

Anonymous said...: A guy who had a 4 and a half ERA pitching for us, while pitching hurt, who could have likely been had for a million or two. Given that guys with 4 and a half ERAs are getting 10 million a year contracts, this seems a low risk proposition as well as a flatout Zambargain.

I know it feels good that he's gone, but it's not his fault we traded Kazmir. I think we should have let him Zambattle for another shot. Stop the Zambashing!; 4:43 PM
