Mets Seperate Church From State ... Of New York

Ryan Church is gone to Atlanta, Jeff Francoeur is a Met. Instead of jumping the gun and ranting, I take a few deep breaths. Then I'll probably rant.

It's getting easier and easier to give up completely on this team... Could the people actually failing be shipped away too? Minaya, Manuel, Tatis, and so many more... Let's send Manuel and Tatis to the Phillies, as long as we're making in-division moves. Manuel could convince the Phils to bat Tatis fifth after Utley and Howard, we could walk those two, and then induce triple plays. That's one that would help us. And the Marlins could have Minaya -- or he could have a homecoming to the Nationals franchise.

boy, it's a good thing this isn't the same jeff francoeur that was sent to AA last year because he crapped the bed midway through the season. oh wait...

maybe we'll all realize what this is all about in a week or two, when omar bundles francoeur with fernando martinez and eddie kunz to land a huge prize, like miguel batista.

I think god is trying to make me give up on baseball for this season, in order to make some productive use of my time.

I think I'm with Tina on this one. Yawn.

Could have been worse. Nick Evans for Tony Clark?

Bobby Cox vs. Omar "Knucklehead" Minaya... who do you think wins?

Church will hit .300/.380/.500 for the Braves.

Francoeur will be non-tendered this winter.

OK. Further proof for the "Mets are just a mediocre team deluding itself as something grander" theory. Omar is the most punative, small minded executive in baseball. He'd never make it in any other business because it would require ROI. Why have we not fired him? Church actually PLAYS baseball!!!!

Omar will resign Francoeur after the 2011 season for 4 yrs and $40 million dollars. "He's only 26 and I believe he's gonna get better with the plate discipline," Omar will say.

I remember that Sports Illustrated article. I'll quote it in full for you:

"No."
