I'll tell you what's "not quite right"--you forgot to add in Snoop Manuel holding a knife...

Funny - I was thinking of this exact song when I heard we moved Schoenweis.

The purge of those who cost the Mets the playoffs and Johan a Cy Young award is nearly complete. . .

Ok, how about the streaky offense? I realiize that the bullpen was the big culprit, and even with the offensive issues last year, the Mets would have finished 5 games ahead if the games ended after 8. (Thanks Jayson Stark).

But say they don't get another pitcher thats on par with Ollie or Lowe, that its Garland? I don't think that you can count on the offense giving you numbers like in 2006 where a pitcher like Trachsel won so many games where he consistently gave up 4 runs, because he got such outrageous run support.

The way I look at it, they are offensively weaker at catcher, as well as left. Cliff Floyd vs Tatis/Murphy and Paul LoDuca vs Brian Schneider. Of course, Delgado is a year older and who knows what you're going to get from him.

Don't even get me started on Castillo.

Anyway, there's my rant. I guess what I'm saying is that they can't get away with going cheap on the #4 starter, and given Ollie's ability at shutting down the Phillies (I was at a game this year where they looked pathetic and he struck Howard out 3 times), he might be the best, though unpopular bet.
