Comical

Forgive me as I relive the Mets sweep of the Pirates by completely destroying the comic book genre:

Special thanks to the animators at Be Funky.

  1. Best. Comix. Ever.

At least since Jughead asked Archie to loan him two bits for a burger.

  2. Wow. That was impressive. Have you recently experienced an increase in your operating budget?

  3. Funnier and better done than the OF and dimensions and sightlines at Debits Field...

It looks to me most like Bill Madlock, but he was a right handed hitter and your picture shows someone in a left-handed hitters pose. The others I thought of were Rennie Stennett and Willie Stargell, but it doesnt look like either of them (and rennie was also right handed) Doesnt look like Manny Sanguien either.

Jeez.. My first guess was Dave Parker...

    Omar Moreno? Frank Tavares?

It couldn't be Bobby Bonilla, could it?

    Rennie Stennett?

  13. Keyser, incorrect on all counts. It does look like Madlock ... I'm surprised that wasn't the first guess.

This is a tough one. I can't blame you guys for not getting it. I wouldn't even expect a Pirate fan to figure it out. I will say that if you know your Mets history, the name will ring a bell with you.

  15. 850, you now must call yourself 851. Because you get a +1. Good job.

    And here's your proof:
