No dugouts, the guys in the bullpen lounging right near the third base line (Andruw Jones almost took them out with a double down the line). The trees in the stands, the Dodger dogs, and I didn't even mention Steve Garvey signing autographs under the stands (he was in full uniform before the game taking the infield throws). The whole trip was really a unique experience.

Now that I know that the Indians are leaving Winter Haven, I wish we had a day to stop there. But how could I complain about the stops we made? As far as road trips go, this was phenomenal.Metstradamushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18023215480704948183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12468344.post-66569108019920428982008-03-07T21:41:00.000-05:002008-03-07T21:41:00.000-05:00Metstra!!!What a great story. I once sat in the second row behind the Mets "dugout" -- bench is more like it -- and was amazed at what went on during the game.

Loved your spring reports.Mets Guy in Michiganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04048899230969074579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12468344.post-5120412364715580612008-03-07T10:34:00.000-05:002008-03-07T10:34:00.000-05:00I saw the Yinka Dare jersey! Absolutely true (and very strange).

I'm thinking it's time for me to break out the Kelly Buchberger Thrashers jersey ... or maybe the Cliff Ronning Predators jersey.Metstradamushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18023215480704948183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12468344.post-10698342065316571762008-03-07T08:45:00.000-05:002008-03-07T08:45:00.000-05:00I`m with you. When the Dodgers leave next year, she said she won't be making the trip south. She said that as much as she loves the Mets, missing the trip to Dodgertown makes it not worth it anymore. It's a shame.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12468344.post-52919195135667746652008-03-06T11:56:00.000-05:002008-03-06T11:56:00.000-05:00Awesome recap.
